Chitosetsuru Sake Museum is a facility operated by Nippon Seishu Co., Ltd., the only sake brewery in Sapporo, located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo City. In addition to exhibiting the history and culture of sake brewing continuing from the Meiji era, a directly operated shop is attached within the premises.
At the directly operated shop, unpasteurized raw sake direct from the factory, limited Japanese sake sold only at this facility, processed foods using sake lees, sake cups, and other items are handled. Additionally, sales of sake lees soft-serve ice cream specially made by the brewery are also conducted.

Inside Chitosetsuru Sake Museum, numerous materials communicating the history of sake brewing are exhibited. On top of the wooden counter, precise miniature models reproducing traditional sake brewing processes are lined up, structured so that the flow of manufacturing can be visually understood. These are precious historical materials recording the journey as a sake brewery.
Attractive Direct Sales of Sake Unique to a Directly Operated Shop

At the directly operated shop attached to Chitosetsuru Sake Museum, a wide variety of products are sold. Detailed explanation panels are set up beside the products, allowing you to choose while confirming each ingredient rice, rice-polishing ratio, and flavor characteristics. Other than Japanese sake, foods using sake lees and original goods are also stocked, equipped with the function as a brewery-direct shop.
Actual Sake Tasting is Available

Inside the building, a tasting counter where you can confirm the flavor of the handled Japanese sake is permanently set up. Served brands rotate depending on the season or day, with multiple types representing the brewery prepared, such as Junmai Daiginjo and Tokubetsu Junmai-shu.
At the counter, tasting is possible while receiving explanations regarding the differences in ingredient rice and production methods, as well as flavor characteristics of each brand.
